Winter hiking in Obergurgl is a special experience. Recharge your batteries, enjoy refreshing mountain air in the winter landscape and get to know the beauty of the region. 12 km of cleared, signposted winter hiking trails lead through snowy pine forests, across snow-covered meadows and along the Gurgler Ache. Guided snowshoe hikes are offered every Wednesday evening and every Thursday afternoon from the Obergurgl ski school.
Hochgurgler Romantikweg
Duration: 0,5 h (partly illuminated)
Access above the Hochgurgler chapel at the ski run - runs pretty flat out into a scenic round above the tree line direction Königstal.
Zirbenwald-Naturweg
Duration: 1 h
From Obergurgl to the University Center direction Zirbenwald past the Davidshütte to the crossroad Zirbenwald. Way back to the Zirbenwaldbrücke left down along the Imfong path to Obergurgl.
Winterwanderweg Gurglertal
Duration: 1 h
Access at the valley station Hochgurglbahn - level route along the valley floor Pill / Angern - mild to moderate ascent through the meadows of Isse to the villages Königsrain and Alt-Poschach - along the Ötztal Ache right side back past the Hotel Jagdhof to the parking lot of the cable cars Hochgurglbahn
